On July 6th, 2021, H.E. John Moffat Fugui, the first ambassador of Solomon Islands to China, visited China Sam Enterprise Group Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Sam Group”). Huang Yanjiu, the director of Sam Group, and Zhou Lu, the vice president of Sam Group, warmly welcomed the guests.

Ambassador Fugui presented his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China as the first ambassador of Solomon Islands on June 25th, 2021. During the conversation, V.P. Zhou Lu first introduced the profile of the Sam Group, its core business and industry advantages. He appreciated the support given by the local government of Solomon Islands in the fields of energy, infrastructure, tourism, fishing, etc., and expected to achieve further cooperation in the post epidemic era.

Ambassador Fugui said, the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Solomon Islands has brought huge development potential for bilateral non-governmental business exchanges, and the participation of Chinese enterprises promote the sound development of the relations. As the first ambassador to China, H.E. Fugui is willing to support the mutual beneficial business cooperation and create more benefits for people of both countries.

The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. It has laid a solid foundation for Sam Group to conduct business activities in Solomon Islands in the future.
